i thought i might explain myself

the six hundred is a reference to the poem "Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. it's a fantastic poem, i highly recomend it, and if someone wants more poems/poets like Lord Tennyson, i'll be willing to feed your minds. there is not enough poetry in the worlds conscioussness. like water in the desert, poetry exists, but one has to look for it.

the quote underneath the six hundred was made by Napoleon I of France. i believe i got it off of microsoft encarta, a genuinely useful tool for quick info in any case.

and the quote by Euripides (a Greek playwright) comes from his play "Aeolus" which i have not read, but the quote similarily came from microsoft encarta. there are some plays that should be read though, and just like poetry, what you might think of them usually is sadly misguided and false. plays and poetry are not inaccessible to the common folk and is not reserved for high minded intellectuals.

this blog will be about poetry, music and literature as well as anything i care to talk about. this is my blog right?

Can you groove to the smooth tune?
